The bonds children form with their extended families are strengthening, regardless of the generational gap. With many raised by their grandparents, resources are available to now ease the strain. The programs and organizations below are ready to guide you.

Kinship caregiver navigator programs offer help to families by providing information and referral services to grandparents and other kin raising children who are not known to the child welfare system.

Grandfamilies.org serves as a national legal resource in support of grandfamilies within and outside the child welfare system.

The GrandFacts state fact sheets for grandfamilies include state-specific data and programs as well as information about public benefits, educational assistance, legal relationship options and state laws.
